Hello and welcome!
I offer in-person and online sessions (telehealth) on weekdays, evenings, and Saturdays.
Private fee: $180.
Insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield and HealthPartners. I am also an Out-of-Network (OON) provider for most insurance (check with your insurance to see if you have OON benefits).
I am Larissa and my work is mostly about helping individuals and couples feel good about themselves, whatever journey they are going through.
So I have some questions for you!
Are you going through anxiety, depression, or grief?
Does life feel overwhelming right now? Has the pandemic brought concerns to you at work or at home? Or are you feeling sad, depressed or unmotivated, lacking motivation and energy? Would you like to learn new strategies to deal with these common life challenges? My expertise includes anxiety and depression, and I can share with you effective strategies to deal with these challenges.
Or are you grieving the loss of a loved one, a friend, a job, a romantic partner, or a life dream? Have you been feeling stuck in that pain? There are several ways to grieve a loss, and there is no certain path to get over it. Talking to a therapist can help you mourn your loss at your own pace.
Are you an individual with ADHD (suspected or diagnosed)?
Do you have ADHD, and despite your many talents, you need strategies to better manage life? Have these conditions impact your life at work, at home, or with friends? And do you feel alone because others cannot understand what you are going through? I could help you to identify your ADHD type and the strategies that would most benefit you and your talents.
Are you looking for a LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapist? Are you facing intimacy issues with your partner?
Are you looking for support on issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity for yourself or for a loved one? Are you looking for a therapist that will understand what you are going through and that has the answers to your questions? Are you a parent, family member or friend wanting to learn more about LGBTQ+ issues in order to support a loved one? Are you considering coming out and want some support for this process?
Or are you facing issues with your current romantic relationship, such as feeling distant from each other, tired, angry, missing emotional and/or physical intimacy? These are issues that are common in all relationships, and I can answer many of your questions about it.
Did you know that LGBTQ+ individuals seek therapy at a higher rate than their non-LGBTQ counterparts? And that one of their greatest barriers is to find a therapist that understands what is going on? But this is not the case with me. As a therapist, I am trained and certified in Affirmative Therapy. And as a member of the LGBTQ+ community myself, I utilize my past and present struggles and strengths to assist you in overcoming your own challenges. I proud myself for being updated on the issues related to the LGBTQ+ community. I see individuals who are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity. I also see couples who are facing communication and intimacy issues, and also couples thinking about opening their relationship (polyamory). I occasionally do group therapy for teens and adults seeking support during and after their Coming Out decision. For more information about LGBTQ+ , please click HERE.
Are you trying to overcome past traumatic experiences in childhood or past relationships?
Have you been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)? Do you think that your past experiences may be impacting your current relationships? I am trained in EMDR, which is a very effective approach in dealing with past trauma and moving forward with a more relaxed mind. And I also enjoy working with issues related to grief and loss.
Are you considering opening your relationship?
Open relationships, or consensual non-monogamous relationships, include any type of romantic relationship where one or more parties have permission to be romantically or sexually involved with people outside of the relationship. This is opposed to the traditionally “closed” or monogamous relationship, where both parties agree on being with one another exclusively. The concept of an open relationship has been recognized since the 1970s. Open relationships are not for everyone. If you want to know more about it to see if it is a good fit for you, feel free to schedule an appointment.
We are a comprehensive, sex-positive team of professionals who are here to support you!
